Drink your Tea - a Zen poem

Drink Your Tea
Drink your tea slowly and reverently,as if it is the axison which the world earth revolves- slowly, evenly, withoutrushing toward the future;Live the actual moment.Only this moment is life.

This beautiful poem is written by Thich Nhat Hahn, a modern Zen poet who is also a teacher, scholar, and peace activist. He lives in exile in a small community in France where he teaches, writes, gardens, and works to help refugees worldwide.
This poem is a reminder to all of us that we all should try to live and embrace the present moment as much as possible. Most of the time we are either in past or in future - never in present and the life is gone!
Zen says there is immense beauty in each present moment but we are not there to receive it. So next time we drink our tea - lets be there - no thoughts, nothing doing - just sipping hot tea! Wow . .lets try it and see if there is a difference!
